SUNSHINE COAST EVENT: Compliance crack-down – HR essentials for small business

5 February 2020

People management can get tricky sometimes. What happens when you find out an employee is acting dishonestly or that you’ve been unknowingly using the wrong documents – or worse, no record-keeping at all?

Australian workplace laws are some of the most complex in the world. Your best intentions are not necessarily your best defence! To help you meet your obligations, we invite you to attend this free HR Essentials for Small Business session delivered by award-winning employment lawyers, Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors.

What you will learn

By the end of the session, you will feel more compliance confident and understand:

  • The must-have HR policies and employment contracts
  • The modern award system and wages
  • Basic employee entitlements, including personal and annual leave
  • The disciplinary process

One-on-one time with a lawyer

You will also have an opportunity to have one-on-one time with a lawyer and ask questions. As a bonus, each business will have a free business health check to gauge how well you are tracking.

Who this event is suitable for
This is a must for anyone running a business and managing employees who wants to learn how to nail the business basics in-line with your Fair Work requirements.
